Date day

Yesterday Dominic and I dropped off the boys with some great friends of ours so that he and I could spend some time together.  We didn't have any plans except to go to lunch and maybe do some Christmas shopping.  Thats exactly what we did.  We had a nice lunch at Chili's then went shopping.  We enjoyed our time together and we are so grateful that our friends were willing to watch all three of our boys along with their two boys.  It can be a serious handful when they all get together but everyone seemed to do fine.  I was concerned about how Mason would do because we've only left him one other time.  They said he did great and only got fussy when he was sleepy.

We picked up the boys, came home and packed Dominic up.  It didn't take long since he mostly took military gear.  We decided that we wanted to go out to dinner with the same friends that watched the boys.  We always have a good time with them.  So we went to Logan's Roadhouse.  We had a great time and lots of laughs.

Dominic and I went to bed at 10:30pm and he had to get up at 1:50am.  He showered, dressed and said goodbye.  One of the guys that is on Dominic's team lives in our neighborhood, so he picked Dominic up and they met up with the others at the base.  Dominic was able to arrange a government bus to take all 12 of them to the airport.  I hope he was able to sleep on the drive since its about 2 hours long.

The boys and I have a couple of plans today.  We have to go pick up Christian's Boy Scouts Popcorn this morning.  Then we are going to a friends house for a Pampered Chef  party.  She said that it would be fine if I brought the boys.  They have plenty to play with at her house too.

So, today should be a good day.  I am choosing right now, in this moment to make this day a good one.
